My name is Chris Jennings and I am based in Watford, Hertfordshire.
From a very early age I have always had an interest in the UK Bus and Coach industry. I fondly remember travelling on the historical London Routemaster bus, but equally enjoy the mod cons of the latest in transport vehicles too.
I have been in the transport industry for eight and a half years now. I took my PSV driving test in January 2002 and passed my OCR Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence in National Passenger Operations in June 2004. In this time, I have experienced first hand the perks and pressures of working in the UK transport industry and enjoy keeping up-to-date with this ever developing industry.
Over the years I have helped and continue to assist small bus and coach operators achieve growth. My approach is always pro-active. I strongly believe in forming partnerships to work to a common, achievable goal. I offer 24 hours support to my developing network of operators to succeed in this ever competitive market place.
As a National CPC holder in Transport Operations, I have a thorough knowledge and understanding of current and future transport policies, especially regarding tachograph rules and regulations whilst also the need to maintain a roadworthy fleet at all times. I am a passionate individual who always works hard to achieve goals.
I always take great pride in ensuring operators adhere to all the O licence requirements, allowing them to concentrate more on securing new clients and contracts. On a daily basis I utilise my experience and competencies to keep many operators on the road to continued success.
With current driver CPC training requirements, the Working Time Directive (WTD), EU driving hour rules and regulations, DDA legislation, additionally the Department of Transport and VOSA guidelines, as a responsible CPC holder I ensure my portfolio of transport firms operate safely and efficiently. Safety is paramount to being a good transport operator and a fundamental personal belief I advocate.
I fully understand that operators are keen for expansion, and strongly believe that through a good vehicle maintenance programme, thorough driver hours checks and keeping on top of paperwork issues this can be achieved every time.
I am keen to build up my current portfolio of transport operators and am offering my services as a Part Time PSV Transport Manager with a National CPC.
